A Little Slice of Heaven is a delightful story, peopled with interesting characters. The two main characters were both recovering from difficult experiences, trying to find a way forward. Both were independent and complex. They came from radically different backgrounds, but shared the same spirit. The pizza shop and the others who worked there provided the perfect backdrop for romance to bloom. I don't want to give away too much of the plot, so I'll simply say that this is a great choice for readers who like a little sass in their romance.Product details

A Little Slice Of Heaven edition by Gina Ardito Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
It was a quick read and ok, but very predictable and pretty much the same story that has been told many times in different settings. I wish there had been at least one good love scene as it's a romance...nothing more than a few kisses....
This romance has it all. A big-hearted, self-effacing, kind, beautiful heroine who has no idea what a catch she is (having been humiliated by a former fiance' who deserves the witch he marries instead), and an effete, snobbish, devastatingly handsome hero who learns how to be human, to love, and be loved, from her. When very wealthy Kyle ends up living above a pizza shop in less-than-designer digs, making pizza and waiting on tables, he thinks he's doing it to win a bet. What he doesn't know is that the prize at the end of the bet isn't Aurora (I won't spoil the story by explaining Aurora) but Gianna, the woman who wants to save all the abandoned pets, feral cats, disadvantaged children, and one hungry, homeless man hiding behind the dumpster in her alley.
Kyle must learn to be nice to the customers, Gianna has to take a chance on a man after having sworn off the species, and both of them end up with several huge slices of heaven. A charming happily-ever-after with Ardito's trademark wit and witticisms, snappy dialogue, and impeccable timing.
A little unrealistic but still a good book. I wish there was a bit more realistic romance all there was was some kisses and then they are asking each other to be together forever and get married. Where is the middle and the talking about it?
Pure poorly written drivel.
Gina has rolled out a wonderful story, one filled with heart warming characters that pull you in , page after page .You want to continue through the friendships, family, and the rotten characters as well. You cheer for the good guys and boo the rotten ones.
This contemporary romance was interesting. There was a nice touch of humor woven throughout that I really enjoyed. The plot was different and held my interest. This is the first book that I've read of this author but I'm not sure if I will read anything else of hers due to the unnecessary profanity in the book. There wasn't a lot of it but I'm trying to eliminate that from my vocabulary and seeing it in print just puts it into my mind and I don't want to go there. So, if that is a concern of yours, you're informed. I wish they could edit out the profanity and offer really "clean" books to readers. Or, add a profanity score to the newly created sex ratings system that some books carry.
There once was an old black and white Carry Grant movie that is VERY similar to this story and well worth watching over and over. I loved this but only gave it four stars because of the over use of the Lords name, other swear words, and the willingness to bed someone. Don't get me wrong... It is a clean read. I just wish the modern mentality on morality was honorable.
